O' Christmas Tree

Another Christmas card from me today...featuring another of the trees from Tim Holtz's 'Scribbly Christmas' set. I heat embossed it using clear powder, then blended a few shades of blue Distress Inks over the top (Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans & Chipped Sapphire). To add a little texture to the background, I splattered a little water over the top allowing it to remove some of the ink. I distressed the edges a little, then matted the panel on to a scrap of navy card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

That tree was just made for this technique, it looks fabulous (onto the wishlist it goes!) Great distressed edges too, yet wonderfully CAS.
Thanks for sharing with us.

That's one beautiful Christmas tree image Helen and it works so perfectly with the emboss resist technique. Gorgeously festive, brilliantly CAS and love the distressing to the edges of the panel - super interest there. Thanks for playing along with us at Less is More this week. Sarah x
