Winter Wishes

I have another Christmas card to share today...featuring some stamps from a set by Hero Arts (called 'Winter Wishes') that I picked as part of a prize I won over at the Penny Black & More Challenge a little while ago. Inspired by the Less is More Challenge to use a non-white card base, I stamped the snowflakes and sentiment on to a teal card blank, using Versamark Ink, then heat embossed them using 'Sparkling Snow' embossing powder from WOW. Sadly, my heatgun died in the process of making this card...so if anyone has any recommendations for for a new one, please let me know!

  1. Very effective - shame about your heat gun. My preference is for the Ranger white one, looks vaguely like a hair dryer and isn't as 'fierce' as some of the others on the market so doesn't blow the powder everywhere.

  2. A bit of a stunner! Love the bright turquoise basecard and the embossed snowflakes look amazing. One very gorgeous card! Shame about the heat gun, but I need to replace mine too so am also interested in recommendations. Thanks for linking up at AAA Cards.

  13. Fabulous card Helen. The snowflakes are really elegant and the design is so classic. I bet the sparkling snow looks wonderful in real life. Shame about your heat gun. I have both the ranger white gun (use it for distress ink drying or very slow drying of EP) and I have pink Heat It Up for most of my heat embossing - I'd recommend either one. Thanks so much for popping this in at Less is More xx
